Animations are done by first creating image frames in a Graphics editor like Photoshop,Fireworks,Flash.Paint shop pro etc.The number of frames,size and color intensity are to be fixed first in order to keep the combined file size reasonable.Advertisement banners are normally under 12000bytes.The different frames created shall then be sequenced and animated in GIF programs by specifying Frame delay,loops,height,width and combined as a single file.The single output file when played in a Browser tingles our mind.Here is an example of a Car speeding in a highway

 

Delay time:: The amount of time an individual image is to be displayed during animation in hundredth of a second.

Disposal:: This controls the action to be taken by a Web browser at the conclusion of the delay time for an image and before advancing to the next image.

Loop:: Figure '0' will indicate continuous animation.Any other value given shall decide the number of times the animation is done.

Color map and Offset:: This selection will decide the output color of images.Offset shall select the position of the image space defined for playback.
